What To Expect When You Visit
When you arrive for Sunday morning Bible study you will find classes for all ages. When you arrive you will be shown where the appropriate classes are. There is always an adult class that meets in the auditorium. Classes last from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM.
After Bible study is over, there is a 15 minute break where you will have the opportunity to move around, meet new friends, and choose a seat for worship services in the auditorium. After you have chosen a seat, we would like for you to take an attendance card from the back of the pew in front of you, fill it out, and then pass it toward the center aisle where it will be picked up during announcements. Filling out an attendance card will help us get to know you.
Sunday morning worship service begins at 10:30 AM. Usually one of our elders begins the service by extending a welcome to visitors and sharing announcements with our members. Announcements are usually followed by a prayer and a few songs before we offer the Lord's Supper. Our singing is acappella (unaccompanied by musical instruments) as it was when the church began many centuries ago and we have a communion service every week as memorial to the sacrifice that Christ made for us all at the Crucifixion . Next, the weekly contribution is collected from our members. While you may participate in our service of giving, we do not expect you to give any money. That is the responsibility of the members of this congregation. There are usually a few more songs and a scripture reading, followed by a message from God's Word, a few more songs and then a final prayer. Services are usually over by 11:30 AM.
Please stay around after worship services are over so we can have an opportunity to meet you.
We meet again on Sunday evening from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Our evening worship period is structured very much like the morning worship service. A communion service for those who were unable to attend the morning worship service is offered. If you would like to partake of the Lord's Supper during the evening worship, just raise your hand as the servers pass by and you will be served.
On Wednesday evenings we meet for Bible study at 7:00 PM. We begin in the auditorium for a short devotion period and then move to Bible classes. We have Bible classes for all ages and we would be happy to help you find the right class. There is always an adult class in the auditorium. Bible study is over at 8:00 PM.
We look forward to your visit!
